Handy Foundation | Production Management Apprenticeship

Handy Foundation is an organization dedicated to minimize the gap between dedicated minds and the Industry. Being part of the Production Management Program trained me with real life situations and prepared me to be able to step into the world of production. From curating schedules, payroll grids, insurance documents and solving everyday on-site logistics being a Handy Alumni is an honor and an opportunity that I am forever grateful for.

Double Date
“When a young witch in training overbooks herself, she must find a way to pass her official witch exam and make it on time for her date” - Myla Henderson
2D Animated short film directed from the mind of Myla Henderson alongside Pending Animation Studios. Our story follows Indigo as they try to balance the chaos of a having a love life and the big challenges that come with being a student in the world of magic. With a team of over 60 artists across the world, I have the honor to take on the role as Producer and curate a system to keep this project flowing with such a large team!

My Role & Responsibilities on Double Date…
Project Coordinator/Producer, For this project I am head of production and working directly with our Director, Myla Henderson. Managing over 60 members and leading 6 department leads with various timezones, this is by far the biggest indie project I’ve partaken on. I would be preparing meetings, writing down recaps for the director, following up with artists and leads, sending out weekly assignments, and ensuring that deadlines are being met.

Love Bats
“Luna, a shy and sweet vampire, plans a night out with her girlfriend, Trinity, during the annual Blood Moon Festival. Will their date end in disaster or delight?”
- Pending Animation Studios
2D Animated short film created by Pending Animation Studios, at the time a California State University Fullerton student group. This project was not associated with any given course assignments, but instead a self-driven project with the goal to complete a vision following the pipeline. Our queer inspired narrative follows Trinity and Luna on their date during the Blood moon festival, with a team of over 45 members, I had the honor to take on the role as Producer and curated a system to keep this project flowing!

My Role & Responsibilities on LoveBats…
Project Coordinator/Producer, For the duration of this project I was the head of production. Managing over 40 members and leading 5 department leads. I would be running and leading meetings to discuss important creative decisions, sending out weekly assignments, and following up with individuals to ensure that deadlines being met.
Monster of the Hollow Pines
Created from the mind of Xochitl Elorriaga and run by Studio105, I have the pleasure of producing this new and upcoming series. From creating schedules, running meetings, and sending weekly announcements, this animated series is scheduled to make its debut this August!
At the moment we have various vertical animated shorts lined up, and a 2min short undergoing with a team of over 20 members. With MOTHP I am managing various assets across softwares and preparing across departments for post-production

Created from the mind of Katie Casey and Glenn Machain with the support of Pending Animation Studios, I had the pleasure of Producing this animated short. From creating deadlines, running meetings, and sending weekly announcements, this animated short was run with a 2 month schedule in mind!
